Publication Ethics – Journal of Global Research in Electronics and Communications (JGREC)
The Journal of Global Research in Electronics and Communications (JGREC) is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in research publication. The journal strictly adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines to ensure integrity, transparency, and academic honesty in all published work.
1. Adherence to Ethical Standards
- JGREC follows internationally recognized ethical guidelines, including those provided by COPE, ICMJE, and IEEE.
- Authors, reviewers, and editors must adhere to responsible research practices, ensuring credibility and fairness in all stages of the publication process.
- The journal maintains strict confidentiality during manuscript handling and peer review.
2. Plagiarism Policy (Including AI Plagiarism)
- All submissions undergo a rigorous plagiarism check using reliable software (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate).
- The journal maintains a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism, including:
- Text Plagiarism – Copying content from other sources without proper citation.
- Self-Plagiarism – Reusing one's previously published work without citation.
- AI-Generated Plagiarism – Submissions generated using AI tools without significant human contribution.
- Manuscripts with more than 10-15% plagiarism will be immediately rejected.
- Authors must properly cite sources and acknowledge contributions to avoid ethical violations.
3. Conflict of Interest
- Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including:
- Financial interests (funding, grants, employment, stock ownership, etc.).
- Personal or professional relationships that may influence the research.
- Competing research interests that could affect impartiality.
- Any undisclosed conflict of interest may lead to manuscript rejection or retraction.
4. Responsibilities of Stakeholders
a. Authors
- Must submit original and unpublished work that adheres to ethical research practices.
- Must ensure proper citation and acknowledge all contributors.
- Must not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously (no duplicate submissions).
- Should disclose funding sources and conflicts of interest.
b. Reviewers
- Must conduct objective, fair, and confidential evaluations.
- Should not use unpublished data for personal research.
- Must disclose any conflict of interest that may affect their judgment.
c. Editors
- Ensure that publication decisions are based solely on academic merit.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the integrity of the peer-review process.
- Act promptly in cases of ethical misconduct and take necessary corrective actions.
5. Retraction & Correction Policy
- Articles may be retracted if found to contain plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or ethical violations.
- Corrections and errata will be issued for minor errors that do not affect the research integrity.
